In 2016 there were changes made to the BASEBALL age cut off; here are the details

For BASEBALL players born on or before April 30, 2005 the April 30 age determination date was used in 2017. The August 31 cut off will be used for these players starting with the 2018 season.

For BASEBALL players born between May 1, 2005 and August 31, 2005 the April 30 age determination date is used in 2017 and 2018 (so that they can play in Major in 2018).

The August 31 cut off will be used for this group of players starting with the 2019 season (this group of players will "skip" their 13 year old season, and play as 14 year olds in 2019).

For BASEBALL Players born on or after September 1, 2005 the August 31 age determination date is used for all seasons.
