The CRLL girls traveled down to Madera to take on the Shasta, Valley, and Delta Section champions.

In their first game Saturday July 15, CRLL fell to a strong team from Gilroy (Delta Section). A late CRLL rally fell short, and Gilroy prevailed 7-2.

In the second end of the double header day, CRLL took on the host, Madera National. This time, fortunes were reversed, and the CRLL girls prevailed over the host team on a tally of 13-1.

CRLL played again on Sunday versus Sutter Buttes of the Shasta Section. CRLL plated a run in the first, but then Sutter Buttes came alive, reversing the CRLL fortunes. The final score of 13-1 did not reflect the pressure that CRLL put on the base paths, and the girls fought hard all game long.

Congratulations to the girls, their coaches, and their families. It was a great summer run, with life long memories.

We are proud of you!

CRLL Girls make a quick Section run...

Great Job Girls!

After wins over District 6 (North Natomas) and District 7 (Tahoe Tallac), CRLL became the winner's bracket team in the Section Final held on Wednesday July 5.

The girls from Tahoe Tallac had not lost a game all year before facing CRLL and were clearly hungry in the title series. Tahoe Tallac stormed out to a 5-0 lead in the first, but the CRLL girls would not be denied, and pounced back 6-5.

With strong pitching and big bats, CRLL took their 3rd game in 5 days. With their 11-7 victory, CRLL claimed the Section 4 Title!

Big thank you to District 7, and host league Tahoe Tallac, for a great tournament!
