Former CRLL Softball Player Heading to University of Utah

Sophie started her playing career in CRLL at the age of 5 and continued with CRLL for the next four years. In 2010, she was part of the CRLL Minor League Softball Wildcats that won the District 7 Little League Tournament of Champions title. Sophie currently plays on the Pleasant Grove High School varsity team and plays summer travel softball for the Universal Fastpitch Garcia 18 Gold team out of Martinez, CA who was recently ranked by Extra Innings Softball as the #9 ranked 18U team in the country. Sophie, who plays Shortstop and Second Base, was just ranked as the #36 player in the country for the final Class of 2020 Extra Elite 100 Rankings by Extra Innings Softball. Sophie committed to go to school and play softball at the University of Utah during her Sophomore year and just signed her National Letter of Intent on Wednesday, November 13th. She is maintaining a GPA of 3.8 and she plans to major in Sports Medicine. She recently volunteered her time to help with the CRLL Fall Ball Pride softball team to give back to her community where her softball career started.
