Youth Umpire Clinic - Sunday March 10

CRLL will conduct its second youth umpire clinic on Sunday March 10 from 11:30 am - 2:00 pm at Stonehouse Park, Field #1.

This training is mandatory for first year umpires who wish to be considered for assignments.  Experienced umpires should also attend since there are several rule changes that go into affect in 2019 that even experienced umpires will not know.

The clinic will be conducted by our current UIC, Wyatt Gaylor, and UIC from 2017 and 2018, Rob Winter.

CRLL began using youth umpires almost exclusively in 2017 for all divisions with much success.  Using youth umpires is good for the league and for the teenagers in our community as they learn how to become responsible adults.   However, using youth umpires requires a pre-season training program and mentoring during the season.  CRLL needs adults who would like to be involved in the youth umpire program going forward.   We need volunteers who are invested in keeping the program going and who would like to be involved in helping the youth in our community with a productive activity.  If interested, please contact president.crll@gmail.com
