Umpire Pay Scale for 2023

SOLO PAY:  

Games with only one umpire will be paid plate rate plus $5 except for Farm softball. 

PLAYOFF PAY: 
There is a bonus pay of $10 per assignment for playoff games. Playoff assignments are rewarded to those umpires that have the best regular season performances, which include manager and Umpire in Chief reports, and making assigned games on time as scheduled.
 
LATE PENALTY:

There is a $5 late penalty if you do not show up on time.  On time means 30 minutes prior to game time. 

NO SHOWS:

1st failure to show results in minus $5 pay penalty on next game.  2nd failure to show results in removal from roster. 

LAST MINUTE CANCELS:

If you need to cancel an assignment, you must notify the UIC or UIC scheduler within 48 hours of your shift.   If you cancel within 48 hours of your shift, you will be suspended from further assignments.   We will consider reinstatement only after you make a face to face appointment with Dominic Ivezich or Nicole Ivezich within 24 hours of your cancellation so that you can explain the circumstances of the last minute cancellation.  We will evaluate the circumstances and determine if you should be reinstated. 

The pay scale above recognizes experience, focus requirements at various levels, and  increased pressure in higher divisions of play. First year umpires who demonstrate exceptional knowledge of the rules, confidence, skill and desire will be given an opportunity to umpire AAA games.
